In 1873 a larger building was constructed to house the growing number of students. This building was on the corner of Pine Lake and Lindsey Rds. Still called the Brown School it is officially the North Pine Lake School, District #8. It was remodeled in 1939. One renovation was the indoor restrooms. The district consolidated with the Delton Kellogg School District in 1954. (Used 2 more years for 2nd graders) In 1963 it was moved to its present location as part of the 7 building museum known as The Bernard Historical Museum. It is open to the public in the summer or by appointment. Under One Roof p. 115-116
