In 1876 a three-room wood-framed school was built on Main St. In 1912 a new brick school was built and used as Webberville H.S. until 1960. Residents in the western part of the district asked to be annexed to the Eaton Rapids district. This was agreed upon. Schoolhouse was sold and converted into a residence. The next year again there was a vote to change the location and built a new schoolhouse. In 1936 Tower Garden Schoolhouse was constructed due to crowding at Carl. Tower Garden in 1949 was a 4 room cinder block school. In 1952 the new, modern William Donley School was built. Students from the Carl district were split between Haslett and East Lansing. The Carl schoolhouse sold and then later demolished for the M-78 highway right of way. Wilson #10f | Vevay | Ingham | 1872-1965 | 1718 W Columbia Rd | First school built around 1872 in Wilsonville. In 1933 the schoolhouse was completely rebuilt and modernized to be a Standard School. Etchell #3f | Ingham | Ingham | 1846-1921 | Now on DNR property | W | Fractional with Vevay. In 1921 consolidated with the Dansville district. The school board sold the school in 1923 at auction. The 1/4 acre the school sat on reverted to the state for failure to pay the taxes. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources purchased it to add to its surrounding state land. Maple Grove/Tamarack #5f | Delhi | Ingham | 1853-1965 | 6031 S Martin Luther King Boulevard, Lansing | Log/W | Fractional with Windsor, Eaton County. At a 1960 meeting voted to annex to Holt schools. Residents in the S half of Maple Grove district did annex to Holt and residents in the remaining half of Maple Grove annexed to Lansing. The school served as an Elementary School For Lansing until closing in 2005. School was sold and changed hands many times. Currently stands shuttered and dilapidated. ICORS p. 212 | |
Sunnyside #6 | Onondaga | Ingham | 1858-1955 | 3990 Covert Rd, Onondaga | W | The WPA gave a date of 1891 for the building of this school. In 1936 They stated it was 806 sq ft, framed-school in S/12. No plumbing, heat from a stove, electric lights and well water. Also a 14 ft x 8 ft wood shed, and the one acre site was fenced. In 1955 it was annexed to Leslie. Children who lived in the annexed districts of Childs, Weeks, Morse or Sunnyside continued to attend the rural schools. Building sold in 1956. CRORES p. 82 | |

In 1859 it was a schoolhouse in S/33 owned by J. Morse. In 1892 the Leslie Local reported that the schoolhouse had improvements. In 1955 the district annexed to Leslie Public Schools. Dansville Village School #8 | Ingham | Ingham | 1847-1921 | Dansville Village School. Renumbered to District #1 | Log/W/B | Dansville Village district was first organized in 1847. A wood-frame school was built in 1857. Union School with grades K-12 was built at the site of the wood-frame school. It was brick and had four-rooms with 3 teachers. It was known as the Ingham Township Agricultural School and located in Dansville. Dansville was rated a Standard School in 1933. In 1953 Sherman from Wheatfield and Mt. Pleasant and Williams from White Oak also annexed to Dansville. Then next year Wilson & Cady also annexed. CRORES p. 53 | |
Harper #6 | Delhi | Ingham | 1856-1955 | 3633 W Harper Rd, Mason | W | For most of the 1920's the pupils attended other schools as Harper had low enrollment. By 1929 enough pupils had moved into Harper District to re-open the school. The WPA in 1936 reports a frame-school 24 ft x 36 ft and 12 ft high. There was a 4 ft x 8 ft addition and a 4 ft x 6 ft porch. The floors were hardwood and the lights electric, with no plumbing. In 1955 Harper annexed to Mason. Mason sold the frame building, but by 1965 it had been demolished. CRORES p. 214 | |

It had 6 classrooms and parents donated books for the library. Horsebrook merged with Lansing Schools in 1958. Horsebrook continued as an Elementary School until 1979 when it closed.
